    A Pressing Situation

    How many National Archives at St. Louis employees does it take to move a standing book press?

    In this case the answer is five!

    When tours come in, we refer to the book press as “that thing that looks like a medieval torture device.”  It’s made of cast iron and weighs more than 300 pounds.

    Employees from several different departments helped out, so this was truly a “One NARA” effort.
